Industrial Flooring
As the name suggests, industrial flooring is designed for industrial areas. Commonly referred to as “screed” among the public, this type of flooring is often used in parking lots, workplaces, walkways, and sidewalks.
Advanced machinery is used in the construction of industrial floors, resulting in a smooth and polished concrete surface. This surface is washable, which significantly reduces dust and dirt accumulation compared to other floor types.
Industrial floors must withstand the weight of both stationary and moving machinery as well as the vibrations generated during production. Therefore, these floors must always be coated for durability.
The coating enhances the floor’s durability, usability, and longevity. This coating process is commonly known as “Epoxy.” The purpose is to prevent wear by smoothing the concrete surface, either with quartz or by leveling ordinary screed.
Epoxy offers the following advantages:
- Chemical resistance
- Resistance to friction and abrasion
- High impact resistance
- Can be applied as a single piece over large areas
- Protects the floor and is repairable
- Does not crack or shrink
- Odorless
- Available in various colors
- Essential for decorative designs
Due to the high incidence of workplace accidents, almost all production companies now apply industrial flooring and epoxy coatings wherever feasible. Epoxy flooring is lifesaving in hazardous situations and minimizes damage caused by heavy loads, making industrial floors extremely beneficial.
